Hi! My name is Chloe Bowman and kids are my passion. I’m originally from Colorado Springs and I’ve been working with children over that past 8 years both privately and as a preschool teacher , and I adore it! Especially after moving to this valley and spending three years as a teachers’ aide in Gunnison, I realized that working with kids is both the most challenging and rewarding job any individual can embark on and I truly thrive at supporting and pursuing a role in the future of these children’s lives!
Hi! I was born in the Adirondack Park located in Upstate NY. I grew up at a boarding school that my great grand parents founded. At this school there was a working farm and garden with lots of animals. I learned how to ride horses, milk goats, plant vegetables, collect maple syrup and gather chicken eggs for the kitchen. I love animals, the great outdoors, rock climbing and going camping. My dad is a teacher and my mom is an artist and they helped inspire me to be creative. Later I graduated from College with a BFA in film. I love to make movies, take photographs, play in the ceramic shop and stained glass studio. Overall I love to learn, create and explore. It’s been an honor for me to get to know, inspire and teach your kiddos at Little Red.They bring me so much joy!
Hello! My name is Tassia Bever and I am so excited to be teaching at Little Red Schoolhouse! I have a bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. My degree has supported my work in the infant room of an Early Learning Center, as a private nanny for various ages, and as a preschool teacher. I enjoy backpacking, riding horses, skiing, and just getting out in nature! My husband, our dog Layla, and I have only lived in the valley for two years but have grown to love the community and amazing outdoor opportunities. I have really enjoyed developing relationships with the children at Little Red and I’m excited to continue to help them grow!
I am 23, currently pursuing a BA in Psychology with an Emphasis in Clinical and School Counseling at WCU. Early childhood development fascinates me; I love to watch little brains grow and blossom. I babysat throughout high school and I’ve been lucky enough to find amazing long term nanny jobs throughout college, working with infants, toddlers, and school aged children. I volunteered in Guatemala at an orphanage working with infants and toddlers, as well as young mothers in 2015. In 2018, I taught English to 4th graders in Bali for 6 weeks; where I fell in love with being in the classroom. It is my privilege to spend my days with your children!
Hello parents!! My name is Sydney and I’ve been working in childcare for the past 7 years. Children are my passion. I thrive to be a loving teacher and make connections with children in order to have fun and exciting learning experiences! I grew up in Montana and worked as a preschool teacher for 4 years there. I have been in Crested Butte for since 2018, where I have ski instructed for a season and spent time nannying for several families. I am so excited to be a part of the Little Red family!
Hi friends! I’m a born and raised Crested Butte native continuing to live and love the Gunnison Valley. I graduated from the Crested Butte Community School in 2012 and attended Western State Colorado University earning a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Environmental Science in 2016. I love to ski, hike, bike and swim all across the valley and state of Colorado. Very excited to be part of the Teeny and Little Red Schoolhouse team and provide excellent and loving care to your little ones!
Hi friends! I moved to the valley in the summer or 2019 from Portland, Oregon, but I grew up on the Front Range, so Colorado is where I’ve called home for most of my life. In my free time, I snowboard during the winters and I camp during the summers. I started working for Little Red in October of 2019, and it’s been such a special place to learn and love and grow alongside these little ones. I’m passionate about social-emotional development and I love facilitating a safe and fun space for learning. Being a teacher is such a joy in my life.
